Pay Starting at $17 per hour.
As a Therapy Phone Operator with OrthoArizona, you will get to:
- Answer the phone in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
- Screen and route calls to the appropriate departments.
- Direct patient concerns and/or complaints to the appropriate channels.
- Create phone notes in the EMR to document the details of calls as needed.
- Assist in uploading medical records to the EMR system.
- Assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct location fax folder and or uploading to the correct patient chart.
- Ensure necessary information is attached to all appointments for the month’s schedule.
- Alert the authorization and benefits team if the patient needs additional visit authorization or is missing necessary appointment information.
- Assist with other duties as needed during downtime.
- Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur.
- Follow all company standard operating procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer / patient service.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Working knowledge of computer programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Basic phone handling skills. Contact Center experience.
- Basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process.
