As a Radiology Technologist with OrthoArizona, you will get to:
- Ensure equipment is in working order, maintain radiology supplies and report any malfunctions.
- Explain all procedures to patients including answering any questions presented.
- Complete X-Ray orders in system, protect patients from unnecessary exposure to radiation by utilizing shielding equipment.
- Document patient care services in chart Importing of outside imaging to office PACS.
- Production of CDs of office images for patients and providers.
- Scan documents into EMR.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures.
- Take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
- Check-in of outside imaging.
- Maintain accurate QC logs and service records, maintain and monitor dosimetry badges, etc. as required by state and federal regulations.
- All other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of radiology equipment.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology.
- Working knowledge of computer programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understand/Perform training on electronic medical record software.
- Continue to expand knowledge of electronic medical record software as updates occur.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of approved American College of Radiology Technologist Program.
- Certificate of Medical Imaging Modality by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Arizona State license Medical Radiologic Technologist Board of Examiners (MRTBE).
- Maintain CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 - 2 years Radiology, preferably in a busy orthopedic practice or hospital.
