Legal Coordinator
The Legal Coordinator supports the medico-legal department by coordinating legal workflows, managing physician involvement in independent medical exams (IMEs) and medical record reviews (MRRs), and ensuring timely, accurate handling of all case-related activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage incoming medico-legal cases, primarily IMEs and MRRs
- Conduct and document conflict checks to ensure compliance with legal and organizational requirements
- Schedule and manage physician calendars for legal work, including IMEs, MRRs, depositions, and trial testimony
- Collect and track required case documentation, including purpose letters from attorneys or paralegals
- Track and manage medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation for each case
- Monitor case progression to ensure all required materials are received, reviewed, and completed within deadlines
- Coordinate logistics for depositions, hearings, and trial appearances as needed
- Track payments, billing, and case status to support accurate financial and operational reporting
- Serve as a liaison between attorneys, paralegals, physicians, and internal teams
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all medico-legal cases and related activities
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
