Lead Physical Therapist

As a Lead Physical Therapist with OrthoArizona, you will get to: 
  • Responsible for creating/maintaining operations for a positive patient experience.  
  • Manage therapy staff and technicians. 
  • Manage therapist outcomes, patient satisfaction and compliance.  
  • Manage and identify staffing needs.  
  • Hire technicians/sports performance staff and manage performance. 
  • Supervise co-signer for new therapists while waiting on credentialing. 
  • Time-card approval/Managing PTO approval for therapist and technicians.  
  • Assign a new hire buddy.  
  • Manage and mentor therapist's performance. Manage therapy students and assign mentoring therapist.  
  • Request contract coverage for therapist PTO.  
  • Hold department meetings, monthly/quarterly depending on clinic size. 
  • Manage facility and equipment maintenance. 
  • Oversee ordering of clinical supplies.    
  • Maintain a patient treatment schedule consistent with the needs of the department. 
  • Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients. Review pertinent patient records.  Record all findings. 
  • Meet OSHA standards reporting to Director of Compliance (Manage and implement COVID precautions). 
  • Manage revenue cycle and billing with manager of Revenue Cycle and Billing.  
  • Interpret and integrate data to determine and implement appropriate modalities, therapeutic procedures and splinting needed.   
  • Develop and implement exercise and home programs as indicated. 
  • Instruct patients and family regarding rehabilitation. Provide patient education. Assess and necessary communication regarding activities and injury prevention. 
  • Document daily treatment notes in a timely manner. 
  • Record treatment charges daily and completes charge tickets in an accurate and timely manner. 
  • Provide monitoring between physician or PA visits. 
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations. 
  • Ensure therapy equipment is in proper working order. 
  • Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, Physical Therapy Techs, Trainers and Aides. 
 
Qualifications: 
  • Working knowledge of computer programs. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Understand/Perform training on practice management software. 
  • Continue to expand knowledge of electronic medical record software as updates occur. 
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures. 
 
Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program. 
  • Passed National Physical Therapy Examination. 
  • Maintain Arizona State License. 
  • Maintain CPR certification.  
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Leadership experience.
