OrthoArizonais seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to manage perioperative cardiac clearances for orthopedic surgical patients to include weight management to achieve BMI targets preoperatively.The clinic is currently staffed with a Preventative Cardiologist who will be an integral partner and resource for the Cardiac NP role.

As aCardiacNurse Practitioner withOrthoArizonaresponsibilities include:
Maintain a patient treatment schedule consistent with the needs of the Physician.
Perform cardiac risk assessmentsand/or bariatric weight management
Review EKGs, echo reports, stress tests to include PET Stress and NuclearSpectimaging
Ensuretimelycardiac clearances to reduce surgical delays
Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients.
Review patient medical records.
Interpret and integrate data to determineappropriate diagnosticand therapeutic procedures as needed.
Perform complete physical exam andrecordsfindings.
Establish presumptive diagnosis.
Orderappropriate laband diagnostic procedures.
Advise patientsregardinghealth and illness prevention.
Recommend community resources to helppatientand family needs.
Instructpatientand familyregardingmedication and treatment procedures.
Assistphysicians in recording patient progress.
Issuediagnostic orders.
Triagepatient phone calls.
Provideoncall services onassignedbasis.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Observepoliciesregardingtime offand calling in sick.
Prioritize work activities based on clinical demands.
Demonstrate behavior that protects the safety of self/others and of the facility and equipment.
This role is Monday – Friday.No on-call coverage, no weekends
Qualifications:
NP certification with strong cardiology experience
Skilled in perioperative cardiac evaluation andguideline basedrisk stratification
Maintain Arizona State License.
