The Licensed Practical Nurse performs professional nursing care under supervision for clinic patients. 
 
As a Licensed Practical Nurse with OrthoArizona, you will get to: 
  • Observe, record, and report patient condition. 
  • Screen patients for appropriate medical history information. 
  • Communicate instructions for pre- and post-operative care. 
  • Arrange for patient admission to hospital. 
  • Perform triage for incoming patient calls. 
  • Instruct patient and family regarding medication and treatment instructions. 
  • Formulate and update patient care plans. 
  • Order, prepare, and inspect patient pre-operative testing. 
  • Communicate any pre-operative results to physician. 
  • Provide monitoring of patient progress between Physician or PA visits. 
 
Qualifications:  
  • Working knowledge of computer programs.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of orthopedic examination, diagnostic, and medical procedures. 
  • Knowledge of medication. 
 
Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Graduation from accredited school for Practical Nursing.  
  • Active and in good standing LPN licensure, AZ Board of Nursing. 
  • Maintain CPR certification Preferred Qualifications.  
  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare or surgical setting.
