Accounts Receivable Representative

As an Accounts Receivable Representative with OrthoArizona, you will get to: 
  • Prepare, review, and submit clean claims. 
  • Available and able to answer account questions from insurance companies, patients, staff, and providers. 
  • Identify and resolve patient account billing concerns, requests, and complaints. 
  • Evaluate patient's financial status and monitor payment plans in accordance with practice guidelines. 
  • Investigate and review all outstanding A/R accounts to ensure prompt and proper payment. 
  • Perform various account collection activities. 
  • Receive, process, and post patient credit card payments. 
  • Prepare reports to identify and resolve claim and account issues. 
  • Monitor accounts for accurate billing information and correct accordingly. 
  • Prepare and monitor patient billing statements. 
  • Complete appropriate account adjustments with strict adherence to practice guidelines. 
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to email and telephone messages. 
  • Complete required monthly audits. 
  • Keep supervisor informed of all issues and concerns related to patient accounts. 
  • Compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, red flag rules. 
  • All other duties as assigned. 
Qualifications: 
  • Special Skills, Licenses and Certifications. 
  • Excellent knowledge of health insurance plans and benefits. 
  • Good working knowledge of medical office functions. 
  • Good computer skills. 
  • Complete and maintain HCP training. 
  • Understand/Perform training on practice management software and EMR. 
Minimum Qualifications: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent and advanced knowledge of medical office functions. 
  • Excellent communication skills with accuracy and diplomacy in discussing financial matters with patients. 
  • Advanced knowledge of billing and coding regulations. 
  • Excellent knowledge of health insurance plans and benefits. 
  • Good computer skills. 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • 1 year previous full revenue cycle experience in an orthopedic practice.
